Hey BJ, looks like it's all clear for now. Fire away with your questions.

I think Danno was a victim of a hazing ritual he mentioned a while back, something where a man gets his balls painted. I'm guessing it was done by a group of gay, black, Muslim men. Trauma like that is very difficult to shake.

It's kind of pointless when you post references from hate sites. Does nothing to further the conversation.

Islam is not untouchable, the focus is more intense. When you see members spamming videos and links attacking any other religion, it will happen all the same.

No one attacks you. They attack your rather bigoted view of the world. When you start getting called a slave, pedophile, woman beating, murdering piece of filth(I was called that just this week) then you can complain.

"Hate-sites" ???

I was referring to his quotes of the Koran, ... though I am sure many would contend *that* is a hate site.

Okay, if no one attacks me, no one attacks you and your bigoted view....... that Islam is wonderful, peaceful and has been a blessing in history and around the world today.

It's always the other guys strong view point which is bigoted, never our own.

The difference between you and me is, I'm not so dayam sensitive or paranoid.

But thats what I like about you.

Thanks for that.

I have not had a VJ laugh in a while.

I'm assuming the "Pastor" in Islam is called the Imam? Correct me if I'm wrong.

Is there any type of ordination process or educational standard to become an Imam?

Yes, he is the person presiding over the teaching.

Here's what I found. I'll ask my wife when I'm off work.

That is too funny. I remember that site when I was looking for this info on my own.

In some Christian denominations, there are pretty definitive guidelines on what qualifies a person to be a pastor.

In others, it's more of a local decision. The church handles it independent of any oversite from a larger organization.

And, of course, many of the non-denominational churches are started by a person and then handed down to the next generation - sort of like the family business.

I'm just trying to see how Islam handles this process.

I was talking about his links.

I have no issues if you want discuss my religion, but be respectful. Don't come and act like you want to learn when all you want to do is spread hate. That's the whole point.

Strong point of view? That dude called me an Abeed, which is Arabic for slave and used to demean black Muslims. Not to mention, this is his third time attacking my race and my religion. What bigotry in your mind?

No matter how bigoted you are, I won't resort to insults and slurs.

I think it depends on the region. Each country has it's own process. So, what flies for Malaysia might not work in Indonesia.

It's clear that he and Lost have experienced something that has their fear and hate locked in. Maybe one day, they'll share it with the rest of the class.

These people are not worthy of your time or attention, Marvin. They never will be.

I know, just trying to counteract the hate. My only solace is that someone will see my effort and know that there's a better way to combat ignorance.

Didn't you get the memo? The black friend quota in order not to look racist has been raised to two. Your weed man doesn't count.

Damn I thought I had 4. Looks like I have zero.

It's the life we live. This is why I feel compelled to try and reason with folks. This is going to be long:

Here in America, being black isn't as simple as having a certain skin color. You have to "act" the part. This is why I'd wager Janelle, Jinx and myself have at some point had this very conversation. You have to listen to rap and hip hop. You have to eat chicken and watermelon. You have to talk jive and slang. You have to be uneducated. You're good at sports, but suck in school. You have rhythm. It's what's expected of you. What's worse is, if you don't fit this mold, you're not truly black. Same thing goes for women, you have to have long nails, weave, talk crazy, have 5 kids by 6 fathers and so on.

It's why when white kids dress in saggy pants, they're called dressing black. It's become so ingrained into our sub conscience that acting like a regular person is exceptional. I don't speak "white", I speak coherently. This is why we were teased as kids. Black has become synonymous with ignorant, dangerous, lazy, and other bad words.

You forgot to add that if you are a black woman you have a sexy but most of the time.

I went to high school with one of the greatest athletes that ever lived. He was also president of the Beta club, and went on to marry a white woman. Certainly not the stereotype of the black man you painted.

As I said i went to an upscale mall in Atlanta yesterday. The blacks seemed very different. Even the ones in Urban dress that I experienced did not act ghetto if that makes sense.

I am friends with the Mayor of my former small town on FB. Today he posted that Jeff Gordon had caught the Ghey and was making sure everyone knew, that he should be banned from NASCAR.
