I have a question regarding affidavit of support. Are they looking for specific amount a petition makes? I also have a 22 year old and my aunt as dependents in my tax return. Will that affect my eligibility to support my fiancé?

I make over 100K a year

Four dependents requires $29,812 gross income, you might be OK :)

Thanks Hank... is the $29,812 gross income, I am assuming its a yearly income?

If it is, then I am more than OK

Yes, the numbers in the link provided by Hank refers to the annual income.

I have been watching for interview spots but the next one available will be in June 2, 2014 so of course I took it.

Should I keep watching just in case something opens up in April or May? maybe someone will cancel?

How many times I can cancel or reschedule? are there penalties?

Yes keep checking. You can reschedule twice without penalty.

The penalty for canceling three times: 90 day "time out" and paying a 2nd visa fee.

Thanks Hank!!!! I scheduled for April 4 but had to cancel because I have not sent my affidavit of support yet to my fiance.

So today I checked the website and the first available is on June 2 so I took it.

So are you saying if I see a spot in April or May, I can still reschedule? If so, that would be my 2nd and last to reschedule right?

Yup you have one more "round in the chamber" ;) If you see an earlier opening you can grab it ... as long as someone else doesn't grab it out from under you.

you can study timelines in yer portal - click the flag under yer name,

then

click on the visa type on the left panel

then sort on approval date,

then study each timeline individually.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

Then when you are done looking at a variety of past experiences, you still will not know when your's will arrive. ;)

Just relax, be patient. Check CEAC daily. Soon enough 2GO will call/text and you will be struggling with luggage as you pass through the airport.

~ and our experience... two weeks.

I have another question... how soon do they release the visa after the interview?

My fiances interview was on March 18th and she was approved. Its April 6th and still no VISA. Status has been ready since 3/31 and no update since then.

2014/1/28 Sent I129f application

2014/1/31 USCIS received petition
2014/2/12 I129f approved
2014/2/15 NOA2 hard copy recieved in mail
2014/02/21 MNL case # received, administrative processing
2014/02/25 in transit to US Embassy Manila
2014/02/26 Paid Visa fee and scheduled Interview

2014/03/11 Medical Evaluation
2014/03/18 Interview date *APPROVED*

I didnt think it would be this quick. We just gotta wait for the VISA to be mailed to her house and then the CFO seminar.
