Getting the IIN number on the guides states this will save you weeks . How exactly will this save you that time ? Once you have a NVC case number the next step is to wait for the email ? Just curious if there is something to do before that happens .

You are reading an old guide. One you can't do anything without the IIN.

Once you have that with case# (please call NVC back and ask for your Individual Identification Number). Then you can start logging into payment portal and watch your bills get invoiced and forms.

OK I was able to sign on to the NVC site . DS-261 says " not started " Start . OK looks like we can do this now . My wife is the one to do this correct ?

Cool. Either of you can fill out. Of course its for the beneficiary but many petitioners fill it out its up to you.

Well just keep your eye on that portal. This DS-261 will get the IV bill invoiced. The AOS should be coming any day now. wooo whooo almost done.

Will it cause a fuss if we use my wife's maiden name on the DS-261 ? It is the name in her passport (maiden) we haven't had a chance to update it yet . Due to storms and her being pregnant They had it auto filled out with my family name already .

Yes name should match passport. Same when you do DS-260. Congratulations on the soon to be new baby.

Yes thats how I didi it with madien name . We should be OK since all names were listed in the petition . Thanks so much for the help .

OK I am trying to pay the AOS fee . When I select the $88 and hit the button the amount goes to 0.00 and nothing happens . Is something wrong with the site ?

OK it was Firefox and once I switched it worked fine .
