Do you need a different form than the I-134 for a co-sponsor, or do you just send more than one I-134? For example, let's say I get accepted to a Physician Assistant Program and start this fall. I will be technically unemployed for 2 years while I'm in school. I do have a nice chunk of money in the bank I could easily survive on for about one year minimum, and after I graduate getting a job as a Physician Assistant making about 80k-100k/year is not very difficult. Would that be a legitimate excuse for my family to co-sponsor?

Is it even okay that I ask this type of question since it's technically the "Tourist Visa" forum section?

I'm leaving Kiev tomorrow. One of the saddest days ever, I don't want to leave her :(

For people who've been following all along, here's a couple more pictures.

Students need to show they have the money required by their Uni, part of the I20 process. Will vary by course and Uni.

I 134 has nothing to do with it, F1 is a Student Visa, non immigrant.

I think you misunderstood me Boiler. This month I'm being interviewed for a Physician Assistant Program here in New York. If I'm accepted I'll be a full time grad student. I won't be working. From what I understand, while applying for a K1 visa, you need to prove you can support your fiance, so they won't become a "public charge".

How does that work out? If i'm technically unemployed because I'm in school can I have my family sponsor her?

And that means my father would basically fill out the i-134 form, or would we each (My father and I) submit it?

Also, if I start the process of a K-1 Visa, if she wanted to reapply for a tourist visa in July, would that be a conflict?

For the K 1 I would start by reading the Guides.

For the Tours\ist I doubt if it will make any material difference.
