K1/Fianc'e visa

Hi list,

After the receipt of NOA2 I am in a process to send all the documents to my Fiancee, as per instructions:

Send all originals of the documentary proof that you submitted for the I-129F to your fiance(e) for their interview at the embassy

What originals do I need to send other than K1 approval ?

Do I need to send original Divorce decree?

Please help!

Your fiance should have the originals of *any* copies you submitted with the I-129F. Divorce decrees, birth certificates...anything.

The originals may not be asked for, but in case they do the originals should be available to compare them with the copies. Normally if asked for, the original is compared with the copy, they keep the copy and hand back the original.

ETA: I don't think I sent the original NOA approval to David...I only sent the originals of whatever copies I actually submitted with the I-129F.

DEFINATELY the original divorce decree. Trust me on this one. We made like three, maybe four sets of copies of the originals and I sent him the originals. We felt it was better to be safe than do anything that would hold up his visa.

You'll want to send the originals of each and every form/document you submitted with your I-129F as well as original documents supporting your I-134 affidavit of support. You will also want to send a complete duplicate copy of everything. Reason being; the consulate MAY want to see the originals and MAY want to keep a copy of the originals.
