Murders per thousand people

Branson 11.6

Black (alone) population .5%

Apparently you are not the only Black avoiding Branson. :dancing:

So lets compare an equally *Black* city and the closest one I know of is Detroit which is perhaps the most African American city (major) in the country.

Murder per thousand

Detroit 48.2

Black (alone) population 81.4

Despite your fears, I bet your life is in much greater danger in Detroit than in Branson.

I would take that bet, but as we know, you tend not to keep your end of the bargain.

And I'll lived in all black neighborhoods that were just as bad as Detroit, and somehow I am still breathing. The difference is, in a black neighborhood, if you're doing the right thing, at best you might get caught in the crossfire. In Branson, you're the target based solely on your skin color.

You mean you are supposed to ignore them when they talk back?

Yep.

Al Sharpton......

wow, I remember 20 years ago when he lied about a girl being raped, just to promote himself and his personal agenda (and his wallet)....

and now he is a respected civil rights leader with a show on MSNBC..:rofl:

That's not what happened. Unfortunately she did lie and she lied to everyone involved in the case. He came to her defense when no one else would. He was a well known civil rights leader long before that incident happened, so perhaps that was the first time you heard of him but I assure you he was known before that so there was nothing to promote.

I guess whether you agree with Civil Rights or not, men and women of that generation already paid the cost in my book by marching, sitting in, getting beat by cops, attacked by dogs, rocks thrown at them, spat upon and so forth. And I may not always agree with someone like Jesse Jackson but he also has my respect as a leader because he sacrificed also. Now for me Jesse was really trying my patience with his off the cuff remarks about Obama during the first election but I get it, old lion salty at the younger one.

Fixed for you.

- I wasn't aware of a pattern of people killed in Branson due to their skin color, you must have some cases in mind?

I have never even been out there as far as I knew it was some country music mecca.

My parents and grandparents had several run ins when we used to go up there back in the 80's. They were flat out warned not to go out at night, by the locals and the police. My workmate took his wife and kids there for vacation about a year and a half ago. They were completely ran out of a Wendy's by the people who worked there. He said the sheriff that came in right when they were leaving said, it was a good idea they left. My boss just went up there this past summer, she said between the sneers and sometimes complete ignoring of customer service she came back after 2 days.

You're not aware of this? C'mon Al, you keep your finger on the pulse when it comes to black people.

Well of course I do have my finger on the Pulse of Black people, you're right but, (according to you) this is more about Whites.

Accepting your testimony one instinctively must ask.... Why is this the most hidden race story in America?

Where are the CNN's and the brothers Jessie and Al?

Where is the undercover footage?

Where is Eric "My people" Holter and why isn't he protecting the right of "his people."

where is the NAACP boycott.

Why have we not heard of a mass emigration from the White-sepretist movement?

Something don't add up here.

It's not. But since you only focus on one aspect of black people, you wouldn't know about this. There are many places black people don't go for these type of situations. Certain parts of Mississippi, Boston, Alabama, and the like. Do some actual research that goes outside of your normal racism.

Did you say certain parts of Mississippi and certain parts of Alabama? Of course not.

What you meant to say was most of the places in Mississippi and Alabama. I can't say about Boston because I am a Southern woman.

Yes and it would seem like I am not the only one who needs to look into this..... the whole Black-greviance council seems to be asleep at the wheel on this as well.

One of the reasons these conversations are worthwhile is, we get to hear other perspectives.

For instance, no one doubts that there are not tens of thousands of city blocks or locations around the country where a white person would be foolish to go alone, most especially at night.

But know knew that right outside of the theme parks and show houses in the middle of whitetopia....a danger to Blacks lurked all about.

So scary is this threat that even Black leaders are afraid to speak up.

Is it possible this is another confirmation of my theory that "When it comes to race relations, this is a good as it gets."

To expect utopia is to seek a failure.
