Starting this topic to share progress and experience of people who have filed I-130 and I-129f both.

My Stats:

Dec-05-2013 Filled I-130

Mar-05-2014 Filled I-129f

Mar-19-2014 ARN(Alien Registration Number) Changed for I-130

Mar-19-2014 ARN(Alien Registration Number) Changed for I-129f

Confusion: MY ARN changed because of I-129f Filling?

looks like your files has been combined and your spouse has been assigned a ARN. You still need to wait for April End or May for the Backgroung Check to Initiate or file get transfered to another Service Center. Pray that you get lucky to be Ajudicated prior to 6 mos. Unfortunately I-129F (K-3) won't be any help.

If your receipt # starts with MSC, they are very slow. The others, I won't comment on it.

The a number gets changed before you get approved. It happened to my k3 and 3 days later both files were approved. Never changed anything on the i130

Im going with the k3.

My Receipt No. starts with LIN, both files are with Nebraska Service Center, never transferred.

Hello, do you have an idea of how long it takes to get approved after you get assigned an ARN? Thanks in advance
