Russians drink Vodka straight. I haven't met one yet who would drink vodka mixed with juice. Vodka first, chased by juice.

And it's mad cheap over there. We were charged 1.10 a shot American Dollars.

Reminds me - I bought my father in law a bottle of grey goose for his birthday a couple of years ago. We drank a shot and then I saw about a week later the rest of the bottle hadn't been touched. I asked him what was wrong and he said "it's not vodka". So the next time we were out, I took him to the liquor store to pick out a bottle and he grabbed this really cheap one, can't even remember the name. I couldn't even drink it, and he was like "this is vodka". I drank the grey goose.

I'm not a drinker at all. I tried it just to say I did. But this is what I do know. We had a liquor locker on the ship. Never knew it existed until we left Russia. My XO wanted a bottle of vodka, so I got her one. She said take it down the locker. Since I didn't know where it was I asked around. Once I found it, the MA's opened it up. The entire floor was littered with Vodka from Russia.
