Hello,

My fiance and called the NVC and confirmed our Interview Date as of April 11, 2014 but we have not received our Interview Confirmation Letter. I have heard that the London Embassy sometimes sends out the confirmation letter late or even after the Interview Date.

Do you need the Confirmation Letter to attend the interview if you have the date and time?

If you need it how can you request to have them send out a second Confirmation Letter?

Thank You,

Joel

You will want to have the confirmation letter to make entry to the embassy easy, yes. If they're in a good mood that day they can look you up if you have proof of identification, but you really want to get that letter if at all possible.

Contacting the embassy would be the way to get a letter re-sent.

You could always send them a query about this via the contact form http://london.usembassy.gov/niv/visa_contact_form.html

At least this way at the very worst you can take a print out of their reply to the embassy as some sort of proof of your interview time and date if the letter still hasn't arrived.
