... Just did a little research and discovered that NVC will have to send a bill for the immigrant visa fee $230 before any payments can be made...

Damn... So painful one has to wait so long to get current.... So unfair to GC holders...

Hopefully VB will move back to September 2013 and keep moving when the new fiscal year starts by October this year

You can pay using the online site. You don't have to wait for the bill.

Based on your last question, yes you can go ahead. Your case will be processed normally by NVC but no interview will be scheduled until your priority date is current.

I just got an email from NVC today and they gave my NVC case number!

you can only pay if you are close to current priority date. I have case number and IIN but once I log in, the system tells me I can't continue processing for now.

when log in the system and select option Fee Payment , i have seen the feel of my and my children but now is not available for pay and when choose the option DS-261, Online Choice of Address and Agent then system tells me :

Please be advised that the case that you have attempted to access is not eligible for further processing by the National Visa Center at this time. Please contact the National Visa Center if you believe that you have received this message in error.

I read the post NVC WIKI and tells

Note: if you're getting an error message ("Please be advised that the case that you have attempted to access is not eligible for further processing by the National Visa Center at this time…" or "This case is in the process of termination. Fee payments and online forms can no longer be accepted…" or "You cannot make online payments for your case at this time. Please contact the NVC if you have questions or need further information."), do NOT panic. This is actually good news! If you just got your case number, then this message means NVC is inputting your case in their system. If you get this message a few days after case number generation, then it's a good possibility that NVC is invoicing your AOS bill. And if this message appears a few days after DS-261 acceptance, then there's a good chance the IV bill is being invoiced.

Hi Guys,

So Im new here and been reading this entire thread. Hoping this will help with all the anxiety this process brings. So my Husband and I live in Barcelna. We filed first week of March 2014, our attorney is based in Boston where my husband is from. I received the NOA1 on April, with a priority date of March 27th, its being processes at the CSC. I seem to be the only one here processing in California. I really am hoping for a July approval

Why should I be approved. My attorney said it takes 5 months. My PD is March 27th, 2014. Its an I130 petition for Spouse.

Believe me you can do these things on your own without an attorney. Some but not all are known to intentionally delay your application as it means more money to to their pockets.

My PD is March 11th and I got approved April 9th... Took three weeks and some days... Check other people's from CSC timeline and you'll notice California has been very fast in issuing approvals.

All through your i130 application you really need to make this forum your bible as you'll even by more updated than your attorney.

I need to ask again. Are you sure it's California office... Check other people's timeline and see for yourself. You should have been approved long time ago...
