Hello everyone,

Sorry if this has been discussed before, I tried searching around the forum and couldn't find an answer. Anyway, I am in the process of removing conditions and I've done my biometrics at my local office (Charleston, WV) last week. The employee there asked me if I ever got my letter stating that my green card is extended for one year. I never got that letter, and they said that I should have received it along with my biometrics letter.

The employee said she is going to try and work it out, but I'm a bit worried. My driver's license is expiring in two weeks since it's based off of my green card and I have nothing to show the DMV. Can anybody help? Thanks so much and I hope you all have a great day!

They can stamp your passport with a one year extension and thats as good as the letter itself. If you have done the biometrics already and still didn't receive the extension letter please make an appointment and ask for a stamp. Take your passport and your biometrics letter and you should be fine. regarding your drivers license you should be okay to renew it with the stamp if they give you a hard time ask to talk to s supervisor and clarify the matter with him/her. that stamp is as good as the letter and as the green card.

Good luck.

I received the letter for my biometrics and brought it with me to the appointment. The guy there said I was supposed to get an extension letter with the biometrics appointment letter. I was really confused :/

Alright, I'll try to do that. Just sucks because my local USCIS office is about 2 1/2 hours away. Going to the DMV today and bringing my biometrics letter with me, hopefully that works.
