Hi everyone,

I had my ir2 visa interview on 11th of march and it was successful so I'm going to share my experience because years ago I scoured the internet for ir2 visa interview experiences but I got nothing of help so I'm happily sharing mine hoping it helps someone/anyone in the ir2 category.. So my interview went thus:

My number popped up on the screen after the first collating of documents then I walked down to the consular officers window(a female co).. Nb: I and my younger brother are being interview at once..

Me: good morning

CO: GOOD MORNING

CO: HOW OLD ARE YOU?

Me: 19 and my younger brother sixteen

CO: WHO FILED FOR YOU?

Me: my Father

CO: WHERE IN THE US DOES YOUR FATHER LIVE?

Me: told her, then she ask for the city then I told her

CO: WHEN LAST DID YOU SEE YOU FATHER

Me: Sept Last year

CO: HOW DO YOU KEEP IN TOUCH WITH HIM?

Me: we talk every day on phone

CO: DOES YOUR FATHER SUPPORT YOU

Me: yes

CO: HOW OFTEN DOES HE SEND YOU MONEY?

Me: told her

CO: ARE YOU TRAVELLING WITH YOUR MOTHER, DO YOU HAVE ANY OTHER RELATIVE IN THE US?

Me: No, No..

CO: DO YOU HAVE PICTURES OF YOU AND YOUR DAD?

Me: yes and then I showed them to her then she saw the one we took in our father's village and asked if we lived in the village presently then I said no then she asked who we lived with then I told her then she asked me what year my father first travelled to the US and what type of visa he used then I said I don't know..

The CO then concluded "everything looks ok, pick up your visas nxt week tuesday at this location" then she hands a pick up slip.. I know this is one long story but I hope it helps.. No matter how slow your visajourney seems just believe GOD its all going to come out positive.. Any other questions are a welcomed
