Hi im new here but i been reading for sometime already, im just curious about how are the processing times working nowadays, we received our NOA1 on January 7 but we haven't heard anything about the NOA2 yet 3-22-2014 !

my SO was here " Dominican republic" in February and we were expecting to be living together by may but it doesn't seem its going to happened, we been apart for 2 years and we cant wait to be together for good ! is anyone experience the same problem or delay ?

Posted (edited)

I know that the processing times for I-129F is probably faster than when I filed. However, your file does not reach 5 months timeframe based on USCIS processing time. That is normal.

I know you want to live together in May which is not the case. It might take 4 months to finish all paperworks for some cases due to expedite or lucky but it does not happen for all cases. It usually takes 5 months to have NOA2, and it will take few more months to have visa in hand because it will take time to forward your case to NVC after NOA2, then forwarding to Embassy to conduct interview.

Be Patient and Good Luck.

Overall the timelines for DR show roughly one year from Filing the I-129f to Interview date for... some case go faster.. so go slower.

Save up your money and enjoy your mini Honeymoons as you can... Many people on VJ will tell you this is not an "Journey" for the faint of heart....

For your own best interest.. I suggest that you guys plan that it will take way longer than you hoped for... so that when it happens you are pleasantly pleased.

~ Jan ??,2013 ~ Service Center ~ Vermont I-129F Packet sent

NOTE: Actual sent date unknown due to lawyer negligence - I delivered ALLForms and PAID Lawyer on Nov 7, 2012 - Lawyer kept saying he sent the packet and USCIS must have lost it. When in reality he failed to send the package and only a new copy to USCIS after I made a legal written demand giving him 10 days to perform or return ALL monies paid to him, due to "non-performance".

(IMO it's better to save your money for visits to or from your Fiancé and just fill it out yourself using the K-1 Guide on VJ and Senior Members... They Rock!!!)

Hi

no we are not married yet and i know there is not reason to be concerned but its quite desperate seeing people get their NOA2 in so short times in their timelines and we have 3 months already awaiting :( and after whenever we get it im sure we can add at least 3 or 4 months to the interview...but in the meantime im learning a lot reading other people cases :)

we have faith and hope to be together soon.
