Hi Everyone, For those that have gone through the K1 interview in Lagos what was your response to this question? Why didn't you guys have a wedding in Nigeria? I heard its the most common and tricky question so far not only in Lagos but other consulate. Please guys this is very important and your answer will be appreciated.

I have worked with alot of K1's that went through Lagos and know personally many others.It's not a right or wrong answer or trick to the question.

They want you to tell them why it is you went the K1 route, speed, ease, commitment issues you have to answer for you. I could give you the list of what others say but it wouldn't fit your situation. I know some who mimicked what they read and was told and were denied.

I want my family and kids to meet him"....Denied

I want to make sure we get along in America .....denied.

You have to answer why you choose K1 for you.

@chicagorj. Thanks for your response. I am all for the truth but just wanted to know what responses others were giving as their reason. I actually have a reason and will stick to it. @Dwheels, thanks for your response too. You are always willing to lend a helping hand on this site and may God perfect all that concerns you. Having 2 K1 interviews at Lagos done, the answer Joseph had was that a wedding is for a woman, a man doesn't care for all the clothes and dress they just want to be married. That I insisted that my close family attend and I have 3 disabled ones that could not go to Nigeria. ( It was the demand to know details of my work that tripped up the first interview and caused a LOT of trouble )
