Wait... so the truth behind the I-130 delays is DACA, and that's some big secret? You must be new here.

It angers me greatly to sit in a queue behind illegals when we are law abiding citizens. I'm honestly afraid to officially complain as my fear is it could cause more delays with my petition.

Im glad you wrote this. Im just starting in this process and it feels like it has been months. I realky wonder if any of the USCIS employees have been in this situation and how long they had to wait. "Do unto others as you would like them to do to you"

Oh yes they have, I read hear on VJ one lady had the nerve to post in the section you write how your interview went. She happened to be the wife of one of the counselors. She proceeded to state how short her waiting was and how kind and sweet the interviewer was and everyone in the Embassy. How they only asked her a few questions and they laughed about their pictures (her husband the counselor and her) and she was told she would have the Visa in hand in less than a week. Why would she post this I wonder, it's obvious why she was treated with such respect unlike US citizens and their spouses. Anyway to your question YES! But not like us.

I am a CR-1 filer from a border state and I have no problem with DACA. I am not sitting here grinding my teeth because "illegals" (don't like that term) are ahead of me in line. These people came to the U.S. as children under the age of 16. How many of them actually had a say in the matter?

What does makes me grind my teeth is that the government did not prepare for the sheer amount of petitions they'd have to process. Maybe they honestly couldn't predict how many would roll in, but more likely, they simply didn't have the time or the budget to prepare. There haven't been enough people working on these cases. That is what is wrong here.

As someone already said, the backlog is subsiding. It's too little too late for many, but at least they are doing something. The media attention surely didn't hurt. The OP is being proactive, which is awesome, and a great example for us all.

Then come here protest, DEMAND what nerve if we did that in their country they would shoot us dead. They in Mexico treat illegals with disdain and violence but they DEMAND we treat their citizens with the same rights those that came her the correct way. It doesn't work that way Mr and it shouldn't. We aren't responsible for the mistakes the illegals perpetrated having kids where which was their objective to begin with. Every read about Atzlan? Do you know their agenda? By the way the Nebraska office is terribly backlogged it's at 9 months right now while the California office shows 7. I'm in Ca why didn't they transfer me here? What a bunch of idiots we have and paying them good money.

No they are not but they are the largest and you can't deny that. The city I live in, when you walk out to the street you would think you are in Mexico. I have nothing against Mexican's I just don't like the way they think they are owed something this was never their land, It belonged to native American's.

Then read it again it's pretty clean and I don't care what you think of me your irrelevant and inconsequential. But to call me prejudice when I am writing the truth is only trying to suppress the truth and I will never do that.

You know I do understand the frustration everybody is going through and yes you are probably right about Mexicans thinking this and that but let me tell you just like there is Mexicans there is Americans and every other race that has migrated to America and not everybody has done it the illegal way here some of us are (I am a legally born citizen while my parents are Mexicans that came in illegally but worked their butts off to become legal) waiting patiently for our spouses to get approved from the USCIS stage and put on hold for security checks and separation of our family because why? Cause we are Mexicans thinking that they owe us something? Think before you type or talk or act there is alittle bit of everything in every race but that is just part of life. Good luck!
