Waiting for the P-4 Notification

It has now been more than 2 1/2 weeks since my fiancé sent in her P-3 packet. From other timelines, it seemed that the P-4 notifications were being sent about 10 days after P-3 packets were sent to the consulate. Is it also common for the P-4 messages taking more time? Is there any way to make sure that the P-3 packet was received by the consulate?

Sent them and email. Go onto the web site for the consulate and go to contact us. You will find a link to drop them a line.

I just recently sent a message to them (Please note I was not expecting an answer very fast as I figured I would have an answer to question via other means before the got back to me), But low and behold the very next day I got my response to my question.

I just said I'm checking on my case status to see if you have received it yet.

What I got back was yes we got it. And we sent out the P3. I get the answer in less then 24hrs.

Give it a try can't hurt.

Btw: I'm at the Guangzhou consulate.

Yesterday we sent an inquiry and three hours later received the P-4 email. I'm pretty sure it was a coincidence, but it was nice to receive it after three weeks of waiting. My fiancé reports that there are many available appointments now including times for next week.
