Can i travel to other state with expired fiance visa?

Can i travel to other state even my fiance visa was already expired but we got married within 90 days and i recently filed for AOS couple days ago and waiting for USCIS reply. I want to know if i am good to go to California now that i am here at New Jersey?. Thank you

June 4 -------------------------- Status # changed

Aug. 6 --------------------------- Transfer fr VSC to TSC

Sept. 5 ------------------------- Rfe per status

Sept 12------------------------- Rfe hard copy (2x2 pix of (p) should be normally wear clothings)Sept 12 ------------------------- Rfe reply

Sept 17 ------------------------- Rfe response review

Sept 23 ------------------------ Noa2 approved in 122 days from my NOA1 date.

Sept 24 ------------------------ Case shipped to DOS for visa processing

Sept 27 ------------------------ Noa2 hardcopy

Oct 7 --------------------------- MCN via phone call (USEM), CEAC status "in transit to consular section"

Oct 8 --------------------------- CEAC status "READY"

Oct 16-17---------------------- Medical (passed) thanks GOD;) 2 days

As long as you don't leave the USA, you should be fine. Noone really tracks you moving to a different state within the US, there are no passport checkpoints.

As long as you don't leave the USA, you should be fine. Noone really tracks you moving to a different state within the US, there are no passport checkpoints.

Yes u can. I live on the state line for Tennessee and Arkansas, Im in walking distance of both states even though I am in Mississippi. Needless to say during my visa process I was In and out of Tennessee most weeks. I mean, for a start that's where my Immigration Attorneys office was, and also where my local USCIS office was... so yes... absolutely fine. And as others have suggested, its always a wise idea to carry some documents and ID with you.

You can travel any states in US with your passport or ID. You should stay away from Southern States such as Texas. Also, I would recommend you to bring your copy I-797 of I-485, I-94,K1-visa, and copy of your marriage certificate.

New Journey AOS:

My fiancee came to US on the 8th of March, 2014 under K-1 visa at Newark, NJ Airport for POE.

Applied Social Security Number on the 10 of March, 2014.

Married on the 13th of March, 2014.

Sent I-485, I-765, and I-131 on the 15th of March, 2014.

Received EAD on June 7, 2014.

Received Notice of Potential Interview Waiver on July 1, 2014 date 6/27

Contacted Ombudsman on 01/12/2015.

Ombudsman contacted USCIS on 02/20/2015.

Ombudsman sent a follow up to USCIS on 03/18/2015.

I-485 approved on 03/31/2015 ( we ordered your card).

Welcome notice was mailed on 04/01/2015.

Received Welcome Notice on 04/08/2015.

Card was mailed to me/picked up by USPS on 04/08/2015.

Received GC on 4/10/2015.

Prediction 04/08/2015

Thank you guys.. As of now i am waiting for I797. May I-94 is valid until march 13 only and my k1 visa is until march 13 but i do have my marriage certificate on me. I hope everything will be ok. Thanks again guys.

TSA couldn't care less about your status. In fact many tourists fly on domestic flights that are transfers. They only carry their passports and TSA only checks the bio page.
