Good day all! We finally received our visa! Filed in December and approved in February! I think it went pretty fast and thank all for your help on this forum.

Here is my question:

I have tickets to the World Cup in Brazil, 3-8 July. If my fiance come here now to the U.S., she can't leave because of the advance parole issue. I have found tickets to take us from Bangkok, to London, to Brazil. I have also found tickets from Bangkok, to Tokyo, to DALLAS, to Brazil. IF she were to fly through DALLAS, would this void her visa? Or would she just be in 'transit?' I'm not trying to mess this up and can't seem to find the answer.

Thank you in advance and I'm working on my timelime,

Darrell and Mai

She can transit in the US provided she does so before she gets her K-1, and provided she has a transit or B1/B2 visa. In that case , she would need to return to Thailand to get her K-1 and then travel to the US afterwards. If she travels with her K-1 she will be admitted to the US but if she leaves on a connecting flight to another country she will not be able to return - the K-1 is a single entry visa. If she has no visa at all, she can't transit in the US with her K-1 visa. You would be better of going the Eastern Hemisphere route to Brazil. Optionally you may also consider checking the southern [polar] routes on Qantas or Lan Chile [via Bs. Aires or Santiago] to Brazil.

Good luck!

There are also flights from Qatar, UAE, Turkey and South Africa which have in-transit zones or no visa requirements for Thai citizens. Going though Europe may require a visa.

By the way, you will need a visa to Brazil, however your fiancee can enter Brazil for 90 days without a visa.
