I'll posit the rework was handled by a small crew of illegal aliens.

Ask for the receipt, from the seller, so that you can review it.

Nah, the work was done was by the previous homeowner to them, unfortunately. There aren't really any illegal aliens up that ways, it is butt cold and like 98% white. I bet it was done by one of the local electricians.

Verbal estimate for grounding is like 3k and for rewiring 7k-10k rough in. The owner of a larger nearby electrical company swears that the knob and tube is safe and all the houses in that area have it. The bathroom and kitchen appear to be aluminum. Because he said it was safe and the inspector said it was safe, we might only get them to pay for the grounding cost because they had false grounded pretty much every outlet in the house. So we'd be out like 5-8k to rewire the house. *faints*

I can keep "my" spaces organized just so, but I can't control another human like that. It just doesn't work.

This is something I have to remind myself every single day. My husband loses something on the daily (today he left my shampoo in the gym shower and lost his pill supplement case God knows where) and it's because he just leaves stuff wherever. I am such a stickler abiut everything having its own place and keeping everythig tidy... I could really kill him when he loses ####### and tries to blame me for it. Puh-lease.

Also, sorry to hear about your house difficulties! My mother just bought a new house, so we're gonna help her move on the 8th. Luckily she has lots of young son in laws to help her out, since my step dad has a bad back.

eh - my wife has been good, mostly, about not cleaning up my office at the house. we had a long talk prior about it, and the PA explained to her why it's important my office is not disturbed.

my work-room, otoh, was a no-touch as well, but she either did not understand or thought the stuff there was rubbish.

regardless, I'm just happy I'm not slipping on the deadlines at school.

Because he was either with me or at work all day, with his punch in/out card as proof if I really wanted to check. ;) I trust him, though. He's an absolutely terrible liar, anyway.

I have a magnolia tree out front bt I think it's broken I've only got flowers from it.

Ya the price tag is what keeps it out of the house.
