Morning :)

now for a change...another will not walk thru the door unless it is fully open...there needs to be a 2 dog space not 1 dog space..sigh...

My newest dog, they told me would not eat unless you left food out all day and let her nibble. First day at dog dinner time I put a bowl of food out for her, she took a nibble and ignored it. I put the bowl of food away. You should have seen the look on that dog's face, but the food did not come back. Day two, I put the food out at dog dinner time, made her wait (had to hold her) until I said ok, and she ate all the food. She's eaten all her food at dog dinner time every day since. And she sits and waits when the bowl goes down until I say ok, before she eats.

She used to want to not come into the house when I called her to. OK fine, she didn't come when I called, I left her out there alone for a few hours. Now she always comes when she's called in. If you let dogs get away with these little games they'll play, then they own you. If you immediately correct the problem it goes away quickly. If you wait, it takes a lot longer to get it corrected as they've gotten away with it for too long and don't understand why its no longer working.

thank you for this....I have been researching how to handle this stuff....this is really good. I am afraid nobody else will follow it though so whatever I do during the day will fall on deaf ears...but I will try all the same.

Well that's the cooked ribs. I was looking for the pre-cooked ribs.

Although they do look pretty darn good. My wife makes ribs a totally different way than I'm used to. She cuts them apart before cooking them. Then boils them, followed by a light batter, then fries of grills them. They turn out so super tender! Although she doesn't put American barbeque sauce on them, so I dip them in sauce as I eat them.

That is a problem. You need all people on board to truly get them trained. My wife listens and follows my lead. Except for occasionally giving a treat from the dinner table. But not often enough to truly break their training thankfully.

Your wife def makes them way different wow....that would be cool to try. Mine were marinated in vinegar for the day and I did pre-cook them for almost 2 hours in the oven. Also..quite tender. I had sauce aside too (balsamic/sugar/ meat drippings cooked down).

I think it'll be great -

she trains up the dogs

then leaves

and then all the dogs not respond to the residents of that flophouse.
