before I clicked my first thought was France lol

I guess I might like France more than I thought after seeing that article. I'm truly a carnivore and my wife's culture and cooking caters to that, they were number 3 on that list. Even my wife's vegetables get meat added.

Thank you, Nola

But I like the 6 weeks vacation a year and 1 year maternity leave :)

I want 6 weeks a year to. Heck I'd like 4 weeks a year.

I should point out that we rarely were able to afford fresh fruit either, but that is a totally separate conversation.

The problem with the 1 year maternity leave is that it limits the amount of children you can have and still maintain a career because it is hard to find childcare for children younger than 9 months old. For that and cultural and biological reasons, it is incredibly rare to find a modern Danish woman with more than 2 children.

7/2019-12/2019 (Yes, 16- 21 months) Estimated time to interview MSP office.

wow...this sounds like Switzerland...40k-50k..not so much given the prices and such. I was making more thankfully and lived alone so that helps a lot....in a way.

Kind of like people who move to California and brag about their income, then it turns out then need to spend 750 thousand to buy a two bedroom, single bath home, two hours drive away from work.

exactly lol but you know...it is the people looking in from the outside who don't get it either...my parents don't even..

I would tell them what I make and they went "omg wow.."..uhm no.....life is expensive....you spent 1400 on an apt alone excluding water, electric etc. then you got insurance that will cost you 250-280 a month and then you got cable bill and phone bill and by the time all is paid.... and then food and then....you are waiting for next month's salary.

I had a car...it was in the garage...walked lol

Is someone preggers? Did I miss the big reveal?

Darklar is. Or his wife is, at least probably, not confirmed yet.

I never told my wife what I made before she came to the USA. Even when she had my tax statements for the interview, I still didn't tell her what my income was. Once she was here, then I let her know, but it was quite a while until she could relate income to expenses.

lol.. not me.. I'm just commenting how nice it is, to have 1 year maternity leave in Denmark, while US has none (only short term disability if you take 6 weeks off in Minnesota)

Done with K1, AOS and ROC

I don't know why he hasn't had her pee on a stick yet. Maybe he did and isn't talking yet, or found out its some chinaman's baby. Bad Steve!

USA has 12 weeks. But your employer is not required to pay you. Come on Tooth, its time for you to get knocked up, you're not getting any younger.

And that's only after a year of employment if I understand correctly.

If I get knocked up this year, I am screwed.

I love a guy who looks like he could be on Criminal Minds as either an agent or a killer.
