to be honest...we keep our house clean so you can walk without shoes but sometimes the floor is not as clean as other times..it happens.

My floors are too cold to walk barefoot. And besides I feel more comfy that way

And apart from that, when I'm in bed, or at couch curling my legs under, I take the slippers off, just to keep the bed clean

i find it gross too! but we do lay on our carpets all the time here...have nice big floor cushions to lay on also.

Kitthekat actually lives in an arabian tent with camels out back and slaves peal her grapes to snack on.

thats what i'd do...not sure if i would offend anyone though and how badly. i cringe every time i watch 'american movies' (heh) and see people fall into bed with their sneakers on ewwww.

American movies have little to do with life in America. Unless you're watching the movie Fargo, life where Nola is moving is exactly like that.

My husband had this problem with American movies too, especially because that is where he learned most of his fluent English from (he seriously watched hours a day of anything crappy or not).
