It seems like a lot in family situations that the "troubled" once gets more attention, more praise, and more money. They seem to get rewarded for their bad behavior versus the good child who gets shoved out of the house at 18, etc.

*cough* I'll leave it there.

I think those types get what is coming to them eventually. The handouts do stop sometimes and everything they rub in others faces comes and bites them in the ####.

Oh karmic justice.

Oh this reminds me of that, not directed at you J of course (I love tumblr):

:)

as long as the mother is able and her husband works like a mad man...the hand outs won't stop and since the hubs is lending them money already ....yeah...whatever...as long as they stay the hell away from me...I don't care anymore.

I love the kids and when they are here...it is great...of course they are told not to come see me but like kids will listen lol

did not think it was directed at me hehe

J - when you were outside the compound this weekend,

did your friends take you to a drugstore or pharmacy,

and did you seek out that Chocolate Flavored Exlax? Yes? No ?

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

No lol you must know by now that no matter how entertaining that would be ...I got no cajones to do that. I will just wait on that karma train to come by...

1 minute to my washing machine apparently means 15 minutes. Grrrrr.

I am replacing the washing gear at the Rustic Cracker Farm this weekend. I only paid 200 for the set, so dropping another 200 on another set is gonna be the way I go.

It's got a weird rinse cycle, the valve at the bottom stays open when it's supposed to shut. Sure, it's fixable, but by the time I source the part, get the part, put the part in, I've wasted the same amount o time that it takes to load up these deadbeat devices, haul them off to my fav used appliance dealer, get another set, schlep it back home, and install them.

OTOH, if you were using that 1 minute to wash yer unmentionables - why aren't you handwashing them, instead? ;)

=-=-=-=-=-=-=

I will make an aside to describe my mudroom...

This is sorta a shed, 8 x 6 x 9 high, that's attached to the rear entrance of the farmhouse, with a drain in the floor, tiled walls (tiled with thrown away but new tile pieces) in a colorful he-man pattern, a longish flexible pipe with spray-head, hanging hooks, a towel drying rack, a shelf at 18 inches to put the outside shoes and gumboots, dowels to hold 5 pairs of gloves to dry, and a closeable watertight/proof cabinet thingie to hold sets of clean inside clothes. My gardeners and I use it to change out of the mucky clothes, have a quick shower, and dress for inside. I showed my wife how I use it, last night - I guess the thing that impressed her the most was that I built it.

=-=-=-=-=-=-=--=-=-=

No further activities after 4:30 here, so Mrs. Darnell is meeting me at campus, driving me to a kitchen design showcase to talk with one of my designer buddies . Fun ! I get to redo the kitchen to her liking, finally... [Although I already have a retrofitted Jenn-Air gas cooking top ready to drop in, and the big chinese venting gear ready to install, we're gutting the kitchen soon] It was always on the list of things to do, but our temporary kerfluffle skewed the calendar. Wish me luck ! It's a weekend thing, me and my gardener krewe will have some fun after Saturday Morning Market ! I guess it helped that I had 3 huge kitchen design books, with pictures, post it notes, paperclips, and some drawing paper always out on the coffee table ;)

start charting and and taking your temp, ovulation kits can help pinpoint things too.

Most women do not ovulate in the so call normal part of their cycle you could be a late cycle ovulator.

What test are they starting you with? HSG does not need to wait for ovulation.

I've been charting since I was a young teen, so I am familiar. I'm actually a natural family planning advocate. ;) I'm pretty sure I didn't - CM, cervix, temps, OPKs, all say nope!

The clomid I took reset me in the subsequent cycles back to my normal day 17, but day 24, no ovulation...which sucks. I never ovulate before day 17, but ovulating late is a total and complete waste because it just delays things and is just a throw away cycle for us because the egg quality is poor later.

They won't do an HSG this late in the cycle because they can't be 100% sure I haven't ovulated and they don't want to "interrupt" a pregnancy. I also need to do my stack of tests on CD 3, so obviously can't do those yet either.

Didn't know that egg quality was effected by being late. I know plenty of moms that ovulated late. Clomid made me ovulate day 18 and that was a week late for my normal. Hopefully it will happen soon.

I'm surprised they put you on clomid with out the HSG my Doctors wouldn't.

Well the bad egg quality and the bad sperm quality just make me miscarry.

I got pregnant with my daughter on a cycle I ovulated late, but there was nothing wrong with my ex-husband, so that helped.

Yeah, my obgyn put me on the clomid and didn't monitor, that is standard practice here. The REs almost always monitor, especially if we do what we are planning on doing - it will be injections plus a trigger and then the donor IUI, but they need to watch it more carefully.
