well they want slightly more for marriage, but thats all it takes to shack up.

Heck with 4 kids that pretty much eliminated most men.

back from a bike ride, dog walk and shower....yes, in that order.

I am out of shape but happy...need to adjust the seat a bit and the breaks and just tune it up overall but yay...I get to bike every day...hopefully in a month or so...I won't feel like I am extremely out of shape but only mildly......uhh lol

How hubby and his family reacted when they saw your new bike? ;)

ug ug.

When I was a yoot, I knocked around in different cities, always finding the local library. I learned a lot about how to do research from talking to librarians beween the age of 9 to 11. By the time I was reunited with my father at the age o 12, I was severely hooked on using the library.

Schedules different? pick me up at the library.

busy? pick me up at the library later.

have a meeting? drop me at the library.

Uncle Bob is taking me to the library after school, come get me when yer finished with work.

I was always well behaved, never causing a ruckus there, somehow endeared myself (as a polite yoot) to each librarian I encountered.

When I travelled for work, I always stopped in at the local library, got useful info from a librarian...

When my son was young, we hung out at the library often.

My 2nd worst life-changing event occured when an ex 'told me' to get rid of my library o books....

Still, I can get to a library, it's never boring to me - I've always felt 'at home' there, regardless of the city or country....

If you were stuck doing homework at a library, well bring some earphones and jam out the next time.

No, you got me wrong. I love libraries. Before Denmark, I probably went to the library 4 to 5 times a week, now it is 1 to 3 times a week (or Starbucks for study purposes). I have a list of libraries I cycle through in priority order of cleanliness, good study spaces, etc.

As a teenager I used to run my own online used book selling business as well. Our huge 6 car garage was filled with books.

A big selling feature for the new house was that it was less than 500 feet away from the library and 300 feet from the school.

4 to 10 days is a perfectly reasonable response time in Northern Minnesota. Don't be like my users, and send 6 emails because you haven't gotten a reply in 5 minutes.

Maybe, but I expect if I email someone promptly back that I should hear a response within 24 hours, especially if they are in their office. I won't email again, save maybe in a week if I am really feeling the urge.

Women my age in my town have an even shorter list.

See, I would rather be alone or not date men if they weren't up to my standards.

I don't blame you. Depends on your age here on what your standards can be. When they hit 50's, its tough for women to find a good man. Many men I know my age have totally thrown in the towel or gone the other way and became players. I'm kind of joking about breathing standard, but really it isn't all that far off from that.

They were probably relieved that she came back.

it was a bit odd when I got back to be honest...I think they felt bad...like the MIL told me there is Japanese in Columbus and that maybe we should go also and then hubs said there was 3 of them....but that was an hour after I got back. Initially nobody talked to me, I kid you not. FIL came to the room and said "welcome home" that was all I heard in the first 2 hours. I think I may have given off some sort of a "don't talk to me" vibe.

They did feel bad and I think that's what it was.

Surprised I got a bike....I got the "wow...".

so...I have a problem....I may have uhm...thrown my cell phone into the washing machine with all my clothes

1) Even your hubby didn't welcomed you? Wasn't he interested how was your weekend or something?

2) They should feel bad. And I'm sure they were jealous :P

3) Are you sure??? That would be a disaster!

Hey, don't mess with Jada, she has a czech gang nearby :)

By way, how is the family treating the other daughter-in-law? I supposed she is American, not foreign girl.

Done with K1, AOS and ROC
