well, I wasn't the electrician. But yes, there's a switch for that....

This house was a custom built, not a builder's choice. I designed it.....

(as a bachelor pad :( )

Funny how that can work out. Get a nice bachelor pad and some woman moves in and takes over then spits out a kid to keep you on the line.

But if it does, you're all set.

ya know I gotta give credit to ConEd...they're awesome here. It's rare that anyone ever loses power in Brooklyn. Last time was Sandy, and I wasn't affected. Before that was 2003. The great blackout. And we got power back in about 5 hours?

I am nice normally :) But ain't no pushover.

I once left my husband at a bar because he refused to leave when I wanted to at 2am.

So I just drove home myself and he had to walk home drunk. :)

Now that you have the man cave, you can invite Amy back for when Tiff isn't in the mood. :dancing:

Don't they cane people in Singapore for being drunk in public?

 We are not some hapless meek kittens.

No caning for disorderly conduct in public. But one could get caned up to 6 strokes for causing serious injury or death of another person while drink-driving.

Oh caned for almost killing someone. Sounds fair.... not.

Not harsh enough you mean?

I've heard you can get caned for spitting on the sidewalk too, or peeing in public.

You are misinformed.

Offences punishable by caning

Singaporean law allows caning to be ordered for over 30 offences, including hostage-taking / kidnapping, robbery, gang robbery with murder, drug abuse, vandalism, rioting, sexual abuse (molest), and unlawful possession of weapons.
Caning is also a mandatory punishment for certain offences such as rape, drug trafficking, drunk driving, illegal money-lending, and for visiting foreigners who overstay their visa by more than 90 days (a measure designed to deter illegal immigrant workers).
While most caning offences were inherited from British law, the Vandalism Act was only introduced after independence in 1966, in what has been argued to be an attempt to suppress an opposition party. Vandalism was originally prohibited by the Minor Offences Act, which made it punishable by a fine of up to S$50 and/or a week in jail, but did not permit caning.
Contrary to what has sometimes been misreported, the importation of chewing gum is subject only to fines; it is not and has never been an offence punishable by caning.

I think caning for those serious offences sound fair to me.

I love a guy who looks like he could be on Criminal Minds as either an agent or a killer.
