Ok debs....there are recent changes....within the last year.,

1-The ban is triggered by someone leaving the country.

2- some categories of family may now file I-601 prior to triggering the ban by filing while they are still in the USA.

3- otherwise, the 601 is filed after an immigration visa is refused at a foreign embassy

A waiver is a waiver for the ban. Meaning, say 3 years into a 10 year ban, you got a waiver. The ban then is moot.

Yes it does. Phew. I was thinking no you have to wait out the 10 years than file a waiver to get in. hehe.

Good to now he meets #3 just had his interview last week. I told him why the heck didn't you have your waiver in hand at interview you knew you would get refused. He said "nope thought they would forget about it or not know". OMG

I also collect mugs, I recently added a Minnesota one with Paul Bunyan on it to the collection.

I bought a new car today, well, I put down the deposit on it and will buy it tomorrow.
