Hi all,

I was just looking at processing times for AOS, EAD and AP, and I noticed only one person did a walk in and was approved within a month or so.

We just mailed our AOS yesterday, It'll get there Monday. once they receive it and cash the check, is there any way to maybe do an info pass and ask for to receive EAD sooner? I know we would still have to wait for biometrics, but we really need him to be able start working and driving ASAP.

is an interview required for EAD? And we are in NJ, there is a 6 pt deal here, ive searched the DMV site which allows you to see and select certain documents that would equal 6 pt verification. EAD is one of them, so I assume he can get the license once he gets the EAD, right my fellow New Jerseyians?

Also, just out of curiosity, has anyone been denied an EAD?

Thanks all in advance,

Thanks all in advance,

Good luck.

At an absolute minimum you are looking at 30 days before even trying an expedite.

:( I hope thats the longest we and all of us have to wait :(

Goodness! :(( this sucksss. I hope they get very good news next week. I hope his doesnt happen to us :( I wonder why its taking so long for them

There are several ways to expedite an I-765, they are by no means guaranteed but there are ways to try.

Would you happen to know those ways by any chance? if not for us, maybe it might work for someone else on here in the future, who knows:/

Oops, my bad, I had just looked at that but didn't think it would apply if they were wanting to expedite the EAD because they wanted to start work and get a driver's license soon as possible - to me it seems like most people applying are wanting to start work and get their license as soon as possible. so maybe if you can prove severe financial loss... but since the petitioner had to sign the affidavite of support for the beneficiary - I would think that unless the petitioner has lost their income source that might be hard to prove? (and then wouldn't that impact the AOS application?)

I'm curious now :)
