Ah.. so we submitted the DS-160 online but part of the process is to also email them back some forms (DS-160, DS-2001, 2 visa photo, and a copy of her passport). We submitted the DS-160 online however at the end of the online form, you need to print it out so you can snail mail it to them.

However when I say we had to bring package #3, it was the i-129F form that they sent to my fiancee where they stamp it "Approve" and also there was a cover letter that indicated the HCM #.

Let me know if that make sense. If it doesn't then i can take a screen shot of the form for you.

Do we need to bring a copy of package/packet #3 to the interview? I dont think we have this. After our application/petition was approved and sent to the consulate, we submitted the DS 160 (and have a printed copy) and then we scheduled our interview online. we do not have a cover letter from package 3 with a stamp and HCM number on it. We do have a letter sent to me here in the United States that has the HCM number on it, but I don't think it is the same letter as the one in package/packet #3.

Will this be an issue? I do not see anything in the K1 instructions that says we need a copy of a letter from package 3 with the HCM number on it.

Thanks!

Hello Peter,

Congrats with your wife passing the interview. I would like to ask a few questions if that's ok with you.

What's the process to obtain a marriage license in Vietnam? I'm getting marry in December of this year and would like to know. I will be able to get away from work for less than 3 weeks. I need to plan ahead of time if I know some detail advanced in time.
