Got married Oct 12 on K1 visa. Applied AOS Oct 28. EAD was issued Dec 14 but we never received, lost in mail. Reapplied for new card. Today finally receive EAD card with A/P. Card issued says good from Dec 14, 2013 to Dec 14, 2014. I have a few questions?

1. Are EAD cards only good for 1 year?

2. Do you have to pay again for new card at end of 1st year?

can someone please explain

EAD/AP is good for 1year.

Once you have green card in hand, EAD/AP is not needed anymore.

If AOS is dragging so long that EAD/AP is about to expire, you should renew EAD/AP which is free.

Done with K1, AOS and ROC
