A lot of the "usual people" have gotten tired of this forum and don't feel the need to participate as passionately as they used to.

Also, some of us live on the West Coast and are asleep in the pre-dawn hours.

I've noticed it gets slow at lunch time also.

We need to re-invigorate this forum. Someone start a thread to brainstorm some ideas while I'm at lunch.

Apples are more red than oranges. Who knew?

rolleyes.gif Not surprised but - You are ignoring the point = Health insurance premiums will likely skyrocket next year, despite the Obama administration’s consistent assurance that consumers will not experience sticker shock under the president’s health care law.

I am not refuting the article, so much as I am refuting the sophistry between the association.

Can you refute any of the statements I made? (I didn't think so...)

You refute the people determining & setting premiums ...wacko.png

In fact, insurers have raised rates on grandfathered - read: ACA exempt - plans as well. Bummer.

Has no bearing on 2015. Nice try but - Fail. Next....

I'm not ignoring anything but I am also not engaging in any kind of wild speculation.

Premiums will rise as they have for decades. That's #reality.

"Wild" is a stretch.

A 300% rise in 1 year ....ever? = Never.

You keep talking about a 300% rise. Where did that happen? And please keep it apples to apples.

I admire that you're even making an attempt.

Literally not a single one of those articles says where they got the 300% from and the worst that anyone can say there is that 'some insiders' say that rates 'may' go up.

This doesn't sound like doomsday, this sounds like someone trying to get a story where there isn't one, to me.
