Hi fellow March 2014 filers!!

I have a quick question about the process... My case is at the Texas Service Center, My case was received March 12th. I know the process time says 6.4 months but what does that mean exactly?? Will my husband be here in 6/7 months?? I have a hard time believing that. Is it just the NOA2? What comes after the NOA2 and how much more time after that? Please help ladies and gents, I can't quite wrap my pregnant brain around this whole process still!!

Unfortunately the 6.4 months wait its only for the NOA2 still I am praying hard that it will be before that, after the 1r0 is approved they sent your case to the NVC then to thw consulate and that whole thing can last 2 to 5 monthz or more, I believe everything is case by case, money, papers all that, hopefully we dont have to wait long and we can all be with our loved ones by Thanksgiving

Thanks guys! @islandgirl80, why are they routing our papers to Vermont? My case is in Texas and seems to be staying there, I've already received my NOA1. I'm praying also that my husband will be here by Thanksgiving/Christmas! Our first born is due Oct 22nd =)

Alot also has to do with the consulate that will conduct the interview as well as who at the consulate will coduct the interview. Some consulates are much busier than other, so it may take longer to get the appointment schedule. Also much like anything else I'm sure there are interviewers that are a little more strict than others. It will also depend on how easy setting up the medical exam. Some countries will allow you to get the medical at the start of the NVC process while others you need to wait until paperwork is apporved. I believ in all cases the medical need to be done prior to the interview. NVC website should have a list of countries that allow the medical earlier in the process.

Congrats islandgirl80!

It hurts especially when my 3 children ask me how much longer it will take for them to re-unite their dad coz I dont have the answer. But I know our time will definitely come someday, hopefully within this year.
