Getting really confused now. I got 3 emails today.

1st) said case was reopened

2nd) said an RFE was sent. When i checked my case status on USCIS site it reflected that.

Just got a 3rd at 6:30pm) case was reopened. But when i checked the USCIS site it says the case is in post decision activity.

Maybe that is an approval soon?

Not sure. I got the approval email yesterday. Then got those other emails throughout the day today. My hope is the 2 earlier emails were a mistake and the case was moved back to the original accepted decision.

Either way i'm calling tomorrow for clarification.

I called the USCIS about all the emails I received. They told me that my case was accepted on the 4th of April and that the other emails I got were just glitches in their system.

Thanks for the update TeddyB. Very strange and frustrating but at least it ended up not being a big issue.

Why would you call NBC? Your service center is TSC. And you are right, calling will not help.

I posted this on another thread but wanted to post here as well in case anyone else has this issue..

A new update on my issue. On April 9th when I call the USCIS I was told the case was accepted and the other emails were not showing up in the system. That emails were just a glitch in their online system. On April 11th I received the NOA2 in the mail. I thought everything was okay. On April 14th I received 2 pieces of hard mail that coincided with 2 of the 3 emails that were supposed to be a glitch. One said our case was reopened. The other was an RFE.

The RFE has my cases receipt number and my wife and my names in the header but in the area where it's asking for the additional evidence, it asks for several items, G325, passport photos and proof of bona fide marriage but asks for those item for people other than my wife or me. We don't know these people. Plus everything They are asking for are items that were included in our package. In our names of course.

I called USCIS today and they said that all the email and updates are showing up and that none of it makes sense. The officer said he has to send a service request to the TSC and they will send me a letter by the 30th that should clear everything up.

Back to the waiting game I guess. I just hope we or the other petitioners are not stuck in some sort of USCIS limbo.

That sucks, TeddyB. As if there isn't enough to worry about without having to ride out what sounds like an informatics error!

I wish you the best, and do get back to us when you get the letter: everybody makes mistakes, but it's how they deal with the mistake that's important.

POE: 4/16/15 in Minneapolis. Kept my wife and our three-Y.O. waiting in a windowless room with no toilet access for over an hour, then let them through without asking any questions.
