Hey everybody, i just checked our case status and it says,

On December 16, 2014, we sent your case, Receipt Number LIN1490******, to the Department of State for visa processing. Please visit our website for general information on Consular Processing. If you move, go towww.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

Is this finally the NOA2 we've been waiting almost 9 months for!? Does this mean our I-130 petition has been approved??? Whats the next step???

Looks like they are still processing it. Maybe about to approve it. When it is approve you will know because it will say it is approved in the wording.

Yes, this means your I-130 is approved!!! They are sending it to NVC. You will be getting the hard copy NOA2 in the mail in a few days. CONGRATS!

Edit: Per the post above, I don't remember if our approval specifically said the word "approve," but it definitely said that they were going to send our case to the Dept of State. Personally, I'd say this is an approval.

Since most of you are way ahead of us, how long did it take NVC to receive your case after I-130 approval, a month-ish? I tried to read through the posts, but there are way too many haha.

Mine took about a month to be recieved by NVC. I don't know how prepared you are for NVC, but you'll want to read Saylin's wiki for sure and start preparing all your documents now while you wait, so that you can send them in as soon as your fees are paid. when they recieve your documents the clock starts ticking down your 60 days wait. Also, just a side note, when filling out the form I-864 be sure to read all the info on common checklists for this form. I filled mine out online and printed it, i noticed that some of the information i had filled out at the beginning was cleared out, so it's a good idea to triple check this document.

Wow, cant believe how quiet this thread has been the last month lol. I guess none of us have any updates. I still am waiting for NVC to scan my checklist response which was sent a week ago and then the 60 day waiting starts all over again. At this point since in May I will have been married for 2 years, we have decided that even if I get the visa by March or April, it only makes sense to travel after our 2nd anniversary so I can get my 10 year residence and dont have to deal with USCIS anytime soon.

Oh and Happy New Year everyone! lol

I sent in my aos & iv in November.... Scan date November 24th praying for a case complete. Im so terrified of a check list...I was also told when I called that I had to wait atleast until January 23rd for a case complete. I'm ready to have my husband Here with me. It really hasn't been easy living apart. Anxiously waiting ???. I'm praying ?for the rest of this process to be easy for us all.
