From what I can tell, that's not true anymore. There was a period in 2012 or so--you can be more precise if you can find the very specific and detailed thread on the subject, which I can't seem to find right now--when dossiers filed from abroad were flying through the USCIS, but it seems to have stopped almost completely (except for expedited cases relating to natural disasters, etc.).

Nothing to be frustrated about there, except the fact of having waited a couple years too long to file. :)

I heard this as well. The more I read, I find out so much.

It is not so big of a deal anyway since I fortunately am living here with him for the past two years, and he is in no hurry to come to America yet. Thanks for the information

I am in the same shoe my wife sent out the I-130 package on 7 March and it was transfer to Nebraska Service Center right a way... Am hoping and praying to God should hear our prayers, is really hard to be far from each other....Good Luck to you all....

yey! cant believe it will take just a couple of weeks! To God be the Glory, I-130 got approved today :)

Got an email today saying our I-130 was approved on the 4th. I'm so excited right now.

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr! Emailed today that they reopened the case and now sent and RFE.....

That's still great. They're looking at your case 2 weeks after NOA1.

Agreed it is still great. But disappointing and confusing. First to be lead to believe we had moved on to the next step and then have it taken away, might feel worse than just having to wait. Second, not knowing why the decision was changed. Considering I sent more information than is required, what else could they possibly want.

Just a little nervous. Yesterday was an amazing day. I went to sleep so happy. Just to wake up to a slap in the face.
