Hi all,

i just received the 60 days letter from the NVC..

Does this means that they received my papers and will start processing it?

how can i know my scan dates?

Thanks alot :)

In mine it said what date they received my papers. You can always call and ask.

Up until now ( I'm 52 days in) they have not processed mine, so I guess they just knock them out when they get to yours in about 60 days.

Keep busy and the 60 days will go by fast.

well i just noticed that they told me when they had received my package.

"The National Visa Center (NVC) received your documents on 19-NOV-14.

We are currently receiving an increased number of approved petitions from U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services. As a result, we are experiencing increased review times for documents received."

Now i should get rest from nvc for 2 months?

Is 19-NOV-14. my scan date ?

Thanks alot Norwegian :)

Was this at the embassy? Is the applicant required to submit birth certificate? I find it strange, especially if he's already US citizen. Did you submit a birth certificate?

I'm worried because I don't have an original birth certificate :\

I'm worried because I don't have an original birth certificate :\

In this case they requested proof of us citizenship so he submitted his wifes birth certificate and the big deal was that it didnt have her parents name on it, it was at the embassy during the interview, however in my case my husband took my birth certificate and my passport to be safe and they told him they didnt need it..you never know what they will come up with so just try to have a back up, another lady took 8 pictures for evidence and they said it wasnt enough and they also questioned why she didnt have a wedding ring on, in my case my husband took our wedding album but was nor asked for any kind of evidence. I dont mean to scare you guys i just really want u guys to be prepared and not take any chances, they also questioned my husband if he ever tried crossing to the U.S. ilegally and he admitted to it, when he said yes they told him the date and time of what they had in their records! ? thank god he said the truth, he got asked about 8 questions..others maybe 3..
