After calling 10times and being on hold for 30minutes I finally got through and I finally have a case number Whoohoo now praying to God this process goes smoothly...

I tried doing the DS-261 but it's asking for invoice # which I don't have

You will have to call again and ask for it. You need both number to access your account. I had to ask for all the info. For some reason they dont give you anything you dont ask for.

Congrats ob the progress to everyone! Guys im a bit afraid because nvc told me they were going to cancel my 129 yet they forwarded to the mexico embassy , i already received a letter stating the case # and assigned consulate. I feel like i cant believe it! I think i wont believe it until my husband in mexico receives the packet..waiting anxiously!! For now im still getting everything ready ..im so ready to give the payment and send out paperwork! Loving how we are not aline, thanks for the heads up borris& kassi! Keep us posted ur ahead of the game ?

So, Tavotevi, you got I-129 F case number, and not for I-130? If that is the case, then it's awesome!

Then beneficiary can move to States at once, and complete rest of action there.

Around a month back, u told that u had called NVC and they told that they will cancel your I-129. Still they gave a case number. That's a great news!

Also another heads up, when I completed the first online choice of agent form, I signed out and then signed back in. I did not go back into the form, but at the top it showed application terminated. I wanted to say that I read this happened to someone else and nvc told them not to worry about it and it just means that the Aos fees will be available to pay soon. I would have cried when I saw this if I hadn't read that other post. So everyone just don't panic if you see this. If you want call nvc to check and make sure everything is still good, but dont panic, cause it happened to me also.ill keep updating and yes t avotevi, im so glad we have each other! I would go crazy without the moral support! :)

So I called again and they gave me a case#,invoice# and a beneficiary ID# I did the DS-261 already what will be the next step will they send an email or do I have to wait for a letter from them to pay the fees?

Hey everyone!

It's been a long time since I've posted--in fact my case has been progressing very generically, and just within posted deadlines, so I don't have much to add--but since some of us are talking about NVC wait times I thought this might be worthwhile:

I Fedexed my AOS and IV packs together on Monday, they signed for them Thursday, and they sent me an email this morning explaining that, due to higher-than-average volume, I can expect "a delay of at least 60 days" before they will review my documents.

One other poster had noted a similar email about five pages back in this thread, but I still thought it was worth mentioning.

While this is not great news--the "2-4 weeks" posted on the NVC website is a lot more appealing:)--I'm pleased that they sent the letter so quickly and a) confirmed receipt of the docs, and b) gave me a time frame upon which to make tentative plans. For example, Christmas in France is definitely happening!

I-130 mailed: 03/10/14 (from France to Chicago Lockbox)

I-130 received: 03/12/14 (this is also our priority date)

NOA1 email: 03/16/14 (email sent at 11:40 pm on Sunday!?!)

NOA1 letter: 03/30/14

I-797C: 03/21/14

NOA2 email: 08/09/14 (email sent at 5:45 am on Saturday!?!)

NOA2 letter: 08/13/14

Sent to NVC: 08/19/14 (email notification)

NVC receipt: 09/08/14 (confirmed by phone call)

NVC case #: 09/11/14 (received via email with NVC welcome letter as attachment)

DS-261 done: 09/12/14

--AOS invoice: 09/17/14 (notice via email)

--Invoice paid: 09/18/14

--accepted: 10/1/14 (notice via email)

papers in-hand: 4/12/15
POE: 4/16/15 in Minneapolis. Kept my wife and our three-Y.O. waiting in a windowless room with no toilet access for over an hour, then let them through without asking any questions.
But whatever: it's over!!!!! 13 months and 3 days from original priority date.
Green card: Accompanying docs stamped 6/16, but the card did not arrive until 7/2 (approx. 11 weeks after POE).
Now it's really over. Thank you so much to all of you at VJ who helped us through this ordeal.

Don't panic, mine says exactly the same thing. I have read this means our AOS fees will soon be available. Probably Monday. I wish they would change this message its terrible. Especially for the weekend. But I believe we are still good.

Your welcome! We are at the same point now, so we can help each other. I've got all my paperwork ready so as soon as I pay the fees I can mail it out. I'm only waiting on one transcript and w2 for my joint sponsor. The I864 is a doozy tho. Especially with joint sponsor. Also the form deleted some of the data so I had to really be cautious.

I used i-864. The EZ Is shorter, but has certain criteria that has to be met. I would highly recommend checking out the wiki on the NVC process, its what I'm studying. It has a lot of great info and links.
