Yes the G28 my bad. If you submitted that one then NVC will send an email to your attorney with your Case number and both invoices.I had to pay one at a time as it wont allow to pay them together but each only takes 2 min its really easy. U need a US bank account. After those two clear. He will than send the AOS package and the IV DS260 application online. Once those two are accepted ur file will be sent to ur nearest Embassy or Consulate for interview. Not much else to it. Hope this helps.

Thank you! It sounds like we will be able to save some time at NVC after all. I'm not the person you asked, but I prepared both packages already pretty much and what I have is:

AOS

- Receipt from the payment portal

- I-864 + tax returns

IV

- Receipt from the payment portal

- 2 passport pictures of beneficiary

- Copy of bio-data page of beneficiary's passport

- Certified copy and photocopy of beneficiary's birth certificate

- Certified copy and photocopy of marriage certificate

- Police certificate

- Others that don't apply to me: divorce papers, military records

Hope I'm not missing anything.

Thank you so much S&A. One more question. Police certificate, does it specify the period its for? Like last 2 yrs? Im asking cus ive been in Spain for the last two years but am originally from Uruguay, I would have to ask a family member there to get it for me.

Thanks

David

S & a is correct check that the birth certificate is the long version, with both parents name's on it, tax returns of 2011 2012 and 2013 for example we got married in nov so the 2013 tax return has my name on it, that is super important.

My lawyer told me she wikl sent me all the papers ill need for the interview but also just for peace of mind ill bring a wedding album with tons of pics from that day, another album with pics like when we were dating, he proposed, when our parents meet, magazines that said we git married, bridal shower pics, mails between his parents and myself, I am already collecting all that.

I lived in Argrntina (study abroad) the police certificate I got dont show the exactly dates it just says that I never commited any crime in that country, same with the mexican one, as far as I know they just do a background check that u are not a criminal, no records but no dates. In fact Argentina owned me a cellphone (I was waiting for the bus amd a guy punched me in the face and took my phone, nice haha)

Well hoping I explain myself well if any question send me a private msg and we can speak spanish! OLEE

Awesome thanks for ur help. I have requested the Uruguayan police certificate which takes like 15 days to be issued. I had not requested it before because it does expire and I didnt want to risk having to ask for another one. Ive been reading a lot about interviews and I think they only ask a few simple questions and most of the times wont ask for pictures and such. Like when we got married here in Barcelona, it was only for my wife to stay here and we werent worried about the celebration as she doesnt have any family here. When I applied for the I-130 we sent pics of us and our trips but no wedding pictures and all that. We still got approved. We dont have the disney story and I dont think theyre expecting that. Were still humans with regular lives and when I go to the interview I will express the same. Weve had an average life and had our struggles and been through a lot so we cant show them something that isnt true. My point is that I wouldnt overthink the interview part. Sometimes too much information can harm you. Find a balance as to how much stuff u will bring with you. Most likely they will not ask for any of that. Were almost thereee :)

Congrats!

I'm happy for you, but I'm sad you're going to miss out all the benefits club members get, such as free complimentary meals and trips to the zoo :P

Any other March 17th filers society members here?

For the Argentine police certificate, you just printed it out from the Registro Nacional de Reincidencia's website, right? Just want to make sure that there's no "original" police certificate in this case. How long do you think they're valid for? Thanks!
