Add another 4 months (currently) to the process without any mistakes before a visa approval so it will be tough but a small chance definitely.

Hi everyone,

Our PD was March 13th, TSC. Got approved on July 14th.

No news since then. Called NVC and they prompted us to go to their website. Do we have to sign up for email correspondence or what they actually meant?

Thank you.

Do you have you Case number, Invoice Id Number from NVC? You usually get them in email but you can call and ask them to give them to you. At this time, you can also give them your emails for correspondence.

You will need your case number and IIN to log into CEAC...NVC website.

Hello. You don't need to sign up for email notifications. They directed you to their site to look at their time line. Since USCIS has sped up to get cases out in 5 months the NVC has fallen behind. So they are saying to give at least 60 before contacting them. My case has been atthe NVC for 4 months now and appears to be a minimum of 2 more. 2 more would be a miracle. It's more likely 4 maybe even 5 more months. But I'm staying hopeful.

Hopefully they can catch up on delays. Just a tip for when you start filling out forms. Put N/A everywhere you leave a blank space. Even though the instructions say leave blank. They will make you resubmit the form and that starts the wait over.

This is so disappointing TeddyB! How do you handle it?? How come NVC takes now longer than USCIS?

We were hoping we will be together for Thanksgiving.

Thank you for the tip.

Thank you for the tip.

I handle it by reminding myself everyday that no matter how much time is left, everyday we are closer to being together.

NVC is taking longer now because USCIS is now caught up. So all the extra cases USCIS pushed through by hiring extra people are now at the NVC. So the NVC now just received more cases than they are used to getting causing them now to be behind.
