I made an expedite request for my stepson's I-130 petition. I am the US citizen petitioner. The application is at the Vermont Service Center with a March 4, 2014 priority date.

Approximately an hour after my request was submitted, I received an email indicating that my request was denied because the application is with an adjudicator. Does this mean that the application is currently being processed? Will we not have to wait the 5 month processing time?

Some one I know has receipt number of

SRC1490040XXX - November

and a March filers have receipt number of

SRC1490185XXX-March

So total # of applications received from November to March would be more than 140,000 at Texas service center?

I guess but thats all visa categories...not just I-130 for immediate relative. You can see the volume of applications each month at each service center on USCIS website. From what I can see...they have been getting a little less than 5000 I30 Imm Rel applications every month.

The thing is my husband told me our lawyer said it wasnt neccesary, I dnt live with my husband either, but w manage to see each other once a month, he left on saturday night, I mean I know it has nothing to do but our lawyer said our case was really simple and clean, I always had tourist visa and I studied abroad for 2 years in the states, back then I was a resident and I got ssn and drivers, I am sure will be all approved soon! Is there any way that you can visit your hubby?

.

Sorry for the late response! You are so lucky, my husband never got a visa, he never applied for it. Im going back to mex in 10 days, im finally gona return after 3 months. So once i leave it will be 3 months since noa1, my positive side tells me that we might be halfways in time for approval. My negative side tells me that i shouldnt get my hopes up n that it might take even a year :( my lawyer told me it might be between 6-9 months, but i see alot of waiting here inVJ...i hope its as easy as you say it is, we dont have any past to be worried about... Its just a matter of being patient i guess... Thanks for your positivity though!

130 PD: 3/31/14

129F PD: 4/25/14

!30 Approved: 9/5/14

129F Approved: 9/5/14

Oh hunny so excited for u! After 3 months I am pretty sure u are super happy!! Cheerish every sec of it!! Dont let ur negative side shadow the love. Just think that by next year this time you will be with him. I am not going to lie, I get desperate, anxious, jealous, sad pretty often lately I hate this situation as much as eveyone else going thru this, but I am not gonna let this shitty situation win. Like my hubby said, we may be away but our love has no borders, we have hope, hope for a brighter future, hope that after this we are goin to be together, just a matter of time, thats our pain, not being able to be where we want in this exactly moment. Dont allow yourself to get sad over the stuff u read here, we are all moving forward and despite all the crazy stuff u see here we are moving and our time is coming, we are closer than yesterday!! I am positive I am going to be there by Oct-Nov in fact thats what I tell everyone. I believe it, God is by my side :).

I am hoping to be one of the blessed ones, if it was any place other than Africa I might be more hopeful. You said you were at NSC are they moving slow? I thought TSC were notorious for being the slowest?

The approved Feb. Filer i saw was from Morocco. NSC has been working ridiculously slow lately. I think they are one of the slowest one at the moment. Ive seen many of late Dec and Jan filers(even Feb) have gotten approved at TSC last couple of days. Your day might be around the corner :) I cross my fingers for you!

ncjp I am crossing my fingers as well. I am terribly missing my husband. Especially when I see other cases after us from other countries have received their NOA-2. Thank you and ditto to you too!

I just joined have been trolling the site for info for a few weeks now, so I decided to join. It totally seems like a support group for us going through this process. I didn't see a thread for this yet so I thought I would start one.

Just got the NOA1 in the mail today. I know the wait can be long form this point How is everyone else doing?

Also the dates on the NOA1 seem off. The received and priority dates are March 13th, the day I put the package in the mail. The Notice date is March 17th which was a Sunday, didn't know the Gov. worked on Sundays. But the 17th was St. Patty's day so maybe there will be some luck with it..

I filed for my husband in 15/03/2014. We received our NOA2 on 16/06/2014 Approximate time was one day shy of three months. We're very excited how fast this process has went... Now we're waiting on the receipt.

It is certainly different for everyone and what country their family member is from. My husband is from Australia and has went fairly fast. I'm sure it also depends on the lockbox, Service center and Immigration Officer has the case load. Everything plays a factor when it comes to how long or fast you're petition is approved.

Good luck...

Cheers,

Turtle's Wife

Edited to add... We filed our I-130 with the Chicago Lockbox and the Service Center is TSC.
