Ugh! I have been getting my documents together for my husband thinking that we needed to file for removal of conditions 90 days prior to our 2nd WEDDING anniversary which is coming up. Just was reviewing websites to make sure I was doing everything right for his sake and came across that it is ACTUALLY 90 days before the 2nd anniversary of having received his green card. That is quite a difference for us! We got married mid-June, he got his permanent resident card mid-October. Is it right that I would then have to turn in our paperwork mid-July at the earliest? Oh no! oops8rh.gif

Also, for those who have filed, how soon do you get the letter that allows you to travel with an expired green card? If we file in mid-July, when do you think we would be able to travel to see his family? I need to give him a light at the end of the tunnel. Poor guy...misses his family and culture SO much...really would appreciate any help!!

Yes, it's within 90 days of the anniversary of being a 2 year resident. Your wedding date is irrelevant.

I received my NOA (Notice of Arrival/extension letter) in just a week. I don't feel like my case was typical though. It could take up to a month to receive the NOA.

My NOA also arrived in a week. Don't forget that he can still travel without the NOA as long as he returns before the expiry date on his current GC.
