Hi everyone...Pls I just wanna know if anyone has experienced what am going through..i came to America on a k1 visa in November..i got married and I have filled for the adjustment of status in january..its 3 months since I filled and I had did the biometrics and I just got the letter to appear for an interview..my question is...how much longer do I have to wait after the interview to get my green card so that I can start working. The whole process and life in America has been quite an experience..pls your answers are highly appreciated..God blesd

Normally EAD/AP is approved before green card.

If you get your EAD before your interview / physical green card, you can start working.

If you already have a job waiting, you could also ask for expedite of EAD.

Once you have your green card in hand, you do not need EAD anymore.

Done with K1, AOS and ROC

If they approve you at the interview, you should receive your green card within 1-2 weeks.

[02/04/2014] (Day 14) Biometrics Walk-In successful in Oakland

[02/10/2014] (Day 20) I-485 Status changed to "Testing and Interview"

[02/15/2014] (Day 25) NOA: Interview Date: 03/18/2014

[03/18/2014] (Day 57) Interview in SF; Online Status "Card in Production"

[03/27/2014] (Day 66) Green Card in the mail
