We mailed our I-129 petition in October, with the exception of NOA 1 and a posting on the Case Status website indicating that they assigned an alien registration number to the beneficiary there have been no updates to our case. Very disappointing to us after all the work we put into gathering information and assembling the I-129F petition. Our immigration counselor was confident our petition was without fault.

It's just now about 5 months...you're not likely to see an update until NOA2...you can try to contact the office where your petition is being processed...the phone number is on the USCIS website - where you monitor the "progress" on your case.

PATIENCE. You're almost there...just as long as they don't join your K3 with your I-130...

I think making people wait to see if they change their minds is unfounded. How do you explain how quickly most of the visas from the Philippines are processed? Our NOA2 took 40 days. Part of this is just where your visa is processed. California is the fastest. If our visa was sent to Vermont it probably would have taken months longer. It's definitely a combination of where your spouse is a citizen and where the case is processed.

They do background checks and usually take longer especially if they found suspicious case on a petitioner. Don't ignore the facts that many people sent uncompleted I-129F and got an RFE for that. That's delay the processing as well. Also, do not forget that only a small portion of petitions from around the world are showing up on VJ. AND only a few of them updated their timelines. Don't rely on VJ estimates time because only based from users who updated their timelines. It is not reliable.

I would explain that by the absurd expedites that Philippines have been receiving for months now. It's about time for that nonsense to come to an end. Been milked plenty enough at this point.
