Adjustment of Status questions

Hello. I just have some questions. We are adjusting the status of my 11 yrs old (he's here in the US). Do we pay the $85 biometrics fee also aside from the $985 fee for a total of $1,070?

My second question is, do we need to submit 2x2 picture of him on a plastic bag (as required on assembling I-130 & I-485) or it is just applicable for petitioning a spouse?

In addition, we are adjusting just him because I am already a GC (waiting for approval of ROC) and my spouse who is a USC will petition him as his step parent.

Attach whatever the form says for photos, the fee is different for those under 14 though (highlighted the applicable bit in green):

Special Instructions

There are exceptions in which the applicant is not required to pay the entire $1070:

• Applicants 79 years of age or older are not charged a biometric fee; the fee total is $985.
• There is no fee for applicants who are filing Form I-485 based on having been admitted to the United States as a refugee.
• There is no fee if an applicant is filing as a refugee under section 209(a) of the INA.
• For applicants under 14 years of age:
  • Filing with the I-485 application of at least one parent have a fee total of $635;
  • Not filing with the I-485 application of at least one parent have a fee total of $985.

I got it. $985

Im just confused with that photos because on my understanding, those 2x2 photos are for G325A forms and when filing for minor child/ren, G325A is not needed. Am i right on that?
