No, you could probably have your interview AFTER June 18 if you sent packet 4 closest to the date. Just ask the embassy to get the date that safe for your fiance. Have you check your NOA-2 hardcopy? It written there.

Ooh yeah, you're right. The NOA2 says it's valid until June 12, 2014. I didn't notice that before.

It's none of anyone's business, though, is it? The op asked for an asnwer to a specific question, not a therapy session.

OP: Personally I think the difficulty of learning (any) foreign language tends to be overestimated, especially by Americans. If you'd like to learning more about the best way to go about it, I recommend these two TED talks:

Thanks for the videos, I'll check them out! I think language learning is fun, actually. I'm looking forward to doing it fulltime for a little while.

Just emailed the US embassy in Jakarta that you're still want your fiancé pursue K-1 visa. For Indonesian applicants, the embassy set up the interview date not NVC. Your case file just transit there to get a case number before forwarded to the listed consulate.

The validation of petition says up to 4 months. But, the embassy can extended automatically if you showing interest to pursue the visa. That's why after the embassy received the case file, a few days later they will send the petitioner an email ask update info of the beneficiary.

For better insight, please go to Indonesian portal on VJ and read the reviews there. Each consulate has a different process for K-1 visa. If you want to ask something about the process just PM me. I will be so happy to help you.
