has any one had a congress person help them in there problem on getting your fiance home to you...i got a letter in the mail telling me that they will review my case up to 6 months more..i dont understand why they are taking so long ...they have everything they need..its been over a year now.....Ella,

I have received your paperwork in the mail. It does look like they have all of the information that they need, they are just reviewing it again. I have emailed the Vermont Service Center again to try to find out why this review has taken place and to find out if they could provide a tentative time line. I will let you know as soon as I have an answer.

please give your responce to this...can she get things done faster and bring my baby home to me.......?????

Your timeline indicates your I-129F Fiance visa petition was approved last year and you already had an interview.

What happened at the interview?

Why is the congressman's office trying to get information from the USCIS service center - they only process petitions and yours was already approved.

There must be more to your story like your fiance was put on Administrative Review as is fairly normal in Morocco. Perhaps you should post in the regional forum and tell the complete story to get some assistance.

Good luck.

Im sorry to hear that you got this letter. I got the same thing a few months ago. At least you are at the interview stange im still trying to get my case approved so I can get the NOA2 and move on to the NVC and the counsulate. ....I feel worthless and helpless at this point. Waiting and waiting waititng for the more additinal months to go by.....I hope you get help from your congressman. Im waiting for my case to be out of processing time so that I can involve my congressman for some real answers. I was told that if I asked for help when my petition was still in the processin that the representatives woult not be so moved to help you. The good news is they are now processing the recipts from June 15.....and then when the date changes I have to wait an additinal 30 days more so I can call and try and get some one to tell me something. :crying:

I hate to burst your bubble, but from my experiences with the congressional offices in my area, when I tried to get help from them with my case, they were practically no help whatsoever.

It is not as though they did not offer to help, ........they were polite, sounded like they would really be able to offer something in respect to our case, (an I-130 on behalf of my wife)..............but in the end, nothing happened and there was practically no follow through whatsoever.

So, you can try. Just keep your expectations realistic.

If he was denied at his interview, why is your congressman talking to the Vermont Service Center? They have nothing to do with your case at this point - it's clearly in the embassy's hands and your petition to USCIS was approved long ago. Unless you get your congressman's office to understand you situation more clearly, there is no way they will be of any help to you.

Since he was given a 221g indicating that they needed more proof of the relationship and you gave it to them, there's not much more you can do. It appears he is stuck in administrative processing - I suggest you post in the regional forum where many people have had this experience in Morocco and it seems to be fairly common.

Who told you that you had to wait until your petition was approved before your reps could help you? I had mine involved prior to approval. You will need to sign a release but it is better to get them involved before any problems arise.

I think she means she received a letter fronm USCIS for more proof of her relationship.

Is that correct Ella?
