Evidence to interview...will this be enough?

Hi all,

Although I am still waiting on an interview date, I was wondering if you could help me figure out if the following evidence will be enough. We plan to bring the following:

- Marriage certificate

- Pictures of us over the past 4 years, including pictures that show we are seeing our in-laws

- Airline tickets proving multiple trips together

- Car insurance with both our names on it

- Photocopy of drivers licence showing same address

- Banking statements of our personal accounts that show the same address

- 2013 joint tax filing receipt

Two other things that we could bring/do if you guys thought it was really necessary:

- get bank statement proving that my wife helps pay for the rent (she's not on the lease) by writing me monthly checks.

- open a joint bank account although we feel we have no use for it at this point

Let me know what you guys think.

Thanks!

looks good. Do you have renters/homeowners insurance?

The bank statements should show the transactions already, unless you're only submitting the first page. It would be good for you to highlight on on both your statements the transactions where she writes you the cheque.

opening a joint account now may or may not be pointless. I wouldn't know.

Do you have friends or family that could vouch for your relationship? Throwing a couple affidavits in there couldn't hurt either.

Excuse me guys for using your thread, but the question I have deals with the same topic.

What do you guys thinks about couples who have been married for over 2 years and have a child together? Will they still need a bunch of evidence for bona fide marriage?

Sorry again for using your thread. Your answers will be very helpful.

Ben10, I would still submit/bring as much evidence. You can never have too much. Furthermore, once you have submitted everything and it would suck to waste valuable time on an RFE. Lastly, once you are in the interview, you only get one shot to provide everything asked from the IO. They could send you an RFE after the interview should they desired, but it once again would be frustrating and waste time.

At my interview, I brought copies of everything I submitted plus anything that would showcase a bona fide marriage that occurred after the submission of the application.

Hope this helps.

Sorry to also jump in on your thread, I'm panicking a little about the evidence now and our interview is tomorrow morning!

We don't even have as much as you, we have

marriage certificate

joint bank account

letters, cards and invites addressed to both of us at our address

photos

thats it, the lease and bills are in his names as I was not allowed to be on it when we rented our apt here in nyc, (we moved here in july last year and i came in to visit as we have already filed our i130 6 months before), the realtors said that his name alone had t be on it as it would look bad if he had dependents, its his first apt he has been abroad for 7 years. So we have even less will this be ok??

That seems plenty enough.
