So excited for you both! I just wanted to ask you about the interview. How did it go? And did you get the visa after the interview or will you have to wait for that? I know it is different for every case but I was curious because I'm a USC applying for my fiance who is in Pakistan, and I am worried that he will have to wait a long time to actually have the visa in hand, even after the interview.

After her interview her packet had arrived by the next week where she picked it up from the visa courier center. The couriers send and receive all things regarding the visa including your information to the embassy.

And what I was told the interview was simple for her, she didn't have any trouble with it, she answered clearly and directly, and didn't fumble for her answers. The interviewer did go and speak to her boss a few times because of the exception/waiver, but at the end all our paperwork was in order and they had no reason to deny us despite 3 prior refusals based on other visas and that I never met her, so if we can get the fiance visa , it shouldn't be a problem for anyone else pursuing one.

Yeah that doesn't sound too bad at all. I'm not too worried about the interview and approval but just worried about having AP but it seems not everyone gets it so just praying that after the petition finally gets approved that things go well and he can be here soon. I tried to go visit him but my pakistan tourist visa was denied :/

Best of luck to you and your lady. Hope everything is going well :)

All you can do is submit evidence from his physicians regarding the dialysis. There are always exceptions to the physical meeting that get approved if indeed USCIS officials deem them valid. I would also submit documentation regarding this being a familial pre arranged engagement. As brokers are allowed to submit for couples who have never met, these things may work. Make sure you go online to the immigration sites and use as many of their official forms as you can. In USA, make sure documents and letters are all notarized.
