Wow! Good for you.. I was given a Checkist coz I forgot to put number of immigrant supported in my I-864.. Which is one... Grrrr, careless me. Now I'm waiting hopefully, I get an email like yours next week.

Good Evening,

I am on the same boat,

My 2 children i130 petition were approved on 2014-03-28.

Case reaffirmed an shipped to NVC.

I am calling NVC next Monday to inquiry about my case, hopefully they already received it but I still need the cases #.

When I applied I did it through a lawyer, when the cases were approved I received a call from my lawyer's office asking for more money ($$$$) for the next steps (NVC)

Also mention that I have to be over the poverty line or ask for a joint sponsor, then they will apply for the green card and more things.

After reading carefully many cases I realized that they talked too BS and tried to build some scarcity, so I decided to do it myself using this amazing website, despite the fact that they delayed my case more than 20 days and I had to follow up on them.

Why is your attorney asking for more money? Did they say what for? I did everything myself so Im not sure what the process is when you hire a lawyer. Also, if you make above the poverty line for your household, you wont need a joint sponsor. My petition was approved in Dec 2013 but NVC didnt receive it until Feb 2014. Check out my timeline you atleast have an idea as to how long it takes from one step to another. It is really easy to do, every forms you have to fill out comes with instructions and every time NVC asks you to do something they always provide a step by step instruction. If there's anything you dont understand, there's the internet :) all you have to do is carefully read all instructions and re-check everything before you submit documents to NVC to avoid RFEs. Thats what I did, I did alot of research online.

In my experience last march 3,2014 interview it went well, myself as a petitioner on behalf of three applicant CO ask me how am i related with these people I said am the husband and father of two kids" CO said. That's great and helps and tell me about yourself and what do you do for a living,

And 3 question were asked to my wife just took 2 min on the third call then we move down to the last call for releasing area 2GO. Just want to share my experience

Actually we have tons of pictures and call logs,receipts 12 years of marriage. Anyway good luck if anything you want to know about it how interview process will be for do not hesitate to asked buzz us up

with regards to ur 2 minors, do they have to pay the $165 immigrant fee tho once they arrived in the US they will automatically become a USC?

Unfortunately we do have to pay it. I went to USCIS website and this is what's posted regarding the Immigrant Visa Fee

Exemptions

Children who enter the United States under the Orphan or Hague adoption programs, Iraqi and Afghan special immigrants, returning residents (SB-1s), and those issued K visas, are the only categories exempt from paying the fee.

What the USCIS Immigrant Fee Covers

The USCIS Immigrant Fee allows USCIS to recover the costs for processing and maintaining the immigrant visa package, and the cost of delivering and producing the Permanent Resident Card.

Oh my goodness! We got an interview schedule for May 5! Thats 2 weeks away and we havent even done their medical yet as we thought we will get a month advanced notice. But yay for this wonderful
