POLICE CERTIFICATES IN PERU

hello hello!

I would like to know where can I get my police certificate in Peru, I know there are many places where i can get this done, however I want to knopw which one is the one i have to for the embassy

Me gustaria saber donde puedo sacar mi certificado policial en Lima, hay varias entidades donde se puede hacer eso en lima pero quisiera saber cual de ellas es valida para la embajada de USA

Are you familiar with MAC in Lima? That is where my wife obtained all her civil documents.

Yes, I know MAC, there is one near my house, so you mean that I can go to any MAC and have it for the embasy ?

Yup, and for the "antecedentes policiales" they will ask if you want it for use in Peru or for international use. My wife asked for international use, and the NVC accepted them for her.

There are three documents you will need for the "police record":

Certificado de Antecedentes Policiales

Certificado de Antecedentes Judiciales a Nivel Nacional

Certificado Judicial de Antecedentes Penales

You can also get birth certificates, divorce certificates, and marriage certificates there.

Oh and what stage of the process are you in? You should fill out your VJ timeline so we can give you more pertinent information. I would wait to get all these civil documents until after you've received your case number at the NVC or at least a couple of weeks after the NVC confirms they receive your approved petition, because these documents expire in 90 days.

I upgraded my time line, pls if you have time check it out yes march, 15 I recieved the form I797C, notice of action. it says RECEIPT DATE: october 11, 2013 and NOTICE DATE march 13, 2014.

If i missed this on my timeline please tell me where to upgrade it, because im a little confused with all this strange names and number.
