I-693 medical exam question

My wife and I got married last week (she USC, me F-1 on OPT) and we are getting everything together for the AOS process.

Medical exam is probably one of the first steps. Anyone have any recommendations what to ask for? I do not have my vaccinations here, unfortunately, and there's little chance I can get them soon. Also, any Civil Surgeons to recommend in the Sacramento area?

As far as I know I can get them here again, right? Just have to pay for them? I got them all, I just don't have the paper work anymore.

You can either opt to have the tests that confirm you have them all or you can just go ahead and get them again, the tests are usually expensive so you are usually better off just getting them again at your local clinic before your I-693 medical. Most civil surgeons will also do the vaccinations but they charge a lot more, that is what I did with the understanding I was paying for the convenience.

Check with the local state health department as they are usually dirt cheap to get vaccinations. I did this for the one vaccination I was missing and it cost me $14.

I had paid $60 for the blood work to determine which inoculations I had already received/still present in my body.

Make sure to call around to several civil surgeons as their prices vary widely.

Go to the Civil Surgeon and ask them. You don;t need to have the list, that is wrong.

The CS will determine what vaccines you need. They will use a verbal interview with a combination of norms in your country to figure out what you need.

Don't just go get a load of vaccines. Go to the medical first. The medical is done in two appointments. After the first you'll know where you stand on shots.
